Vic: Pedestrian killed in Park Orchards

MELBOURNE, April 30 AAP - An man was killed as he tried to cross a road in Melbourne's
east last night.

The man, aged in his 60s, died at the scene of the accident on Falconer Road, Park
Orchards just after 6pm (AEST).

Police believe the man was struck by a car travelling west as he attempted to cross
the road from north to south.

The name of the dead man has not been released.

His death takes the state's road toll to 112, compared to 126 at the same time last year.
