Vic: Libs to battle Nats for seats = 3

Victorian National Party leader PETER RYAN says he expected the Liberal Party to stand
in every seat.

He says the die was cast when the National's stepped away from the partnership last year.

However Mr RYAN refused to answer questions about the effects of a three-cornered election
on either of the former coalition partners.

Nor would he comment directly on the worth to the Liberal Party of running candidates
in every seat, rather than negotiating seats with the Nationals.
