QLD:Fraser takes GST argument to treasurers

Treasurer ANDREW FRASER says he'll argue for a fairer deal for Queensland in the carve-up
of GST revenue at a meeting of the country's treasurers today.

The federal government last week commissioned a review of the distribution of revenue
from GST to the states and territories .. saying it'll lead to a simpler .. fairer system.

Former New South Wales premier NICK GREINER .. former Victorian premier JOHN BRUMBY
and South Australian businessman BRUCE CARTER will conduct the review.
